San Juan Nursing Home
San Juan Nursing Home Inc.
(SJNH) operates under the guidance of the Catholic Diocese of Brownsville
and is organized for religious and charitable purposes. Our mission is
to minister in the name of Jesus Christ with dignity and compassion to
the elderly, sick and frail, to those recuperating from illness and injury.
Committed to “Service with Love”, we strive for excellence
in nursing care and offer a holistic approach to the well being of our
residents and their loved ones.
SJNH was founded by Fr. Jose M. Aspiazu, OMI in 1965, and opened its doors to the public in 1966. Since then, thousands of families from both local and surrounding communities have been served. Our goal is to meet our resident’s needs in an individual, comprehensive and timely manner, to a quality standard that seeks to improve their overall health and social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. We firmly believe that aging persons and persons with disabilities should be able to live in security and dignity. Our core standards are rooted in Scripture and are evolving in response to the challenges of today. 1. Dignity of the Human Person
- We recognize the sanctity of human life. People do not lose
dignity because of disability, poverty, age, lack of success, or race. Facing the realities of chronic illness and/or
limitations in the activities of daily living can be a difficult and
overwhelming process. Long term care is made up of many different services which may include help with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, eating, using the bathroom, etc.) Considering long term care: At SJNH we understand
how essential a nurturing environment is to helping each individual retain
their maximum level of independence. Our staff is committed to understanding
your loved one’s needs, no matter how great or small. With your
support and following the physician’s recommendations, we will provide
a comprehensive plan of care that meets the needs of your loved one. We believe that aging persons and persons with disabilities should be able to live in security & dignity. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES!!! 300 N. NEBRASKA AVE. Office: 956-787-1771 last updated 19-Sep-2008 13:30 sitemap |
