The New Life Remarriage Retreat

The New Life:  Remarriage Retreat is a 2-day retreat being offered by the Family Life Office for engaged couples where one or both have been previously married.
Several topics will be presented by married couples, a licensed professional counselor and or by a staff member of the Family Life Office.  The topics include:  Shadows From the Past, Friendship, Stepfamilies, and Yours, Mine and Our Money.  This retreat will provide the atmosphere of sharing and reflection for the engaged couples that find themselves planning a second marriage.  They will engage in dialogue that will help them discuss topics on children, finances, and living as a blended family.
New Life Retreats are held every 3-4 months during the year at the Bishop Adolph Marx Conference Center.  The ideal time to attend is from 6 months to a year before the wedding, but no later than 2-3 months before the wedding date.
Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for 32 couples.  The total cost is $100.00 per couple and it includes materials, breakfast and lunch.  The registration fee and the completed registration form can be mailed to:  Family Life Office, 700 N. Virgen de San Juan Blvd. San Juan, Texas  78589.
A confirmation letter is mailed to the couple when the application and fee is received.  The couple will be guaranteed admission to the New Life:  Remarriage Retreat only if they have received a confirmation letter.
