The Diocesan Relations Office collaborates with all ministries in the diocese to communicate the work of the Church to the faithful in the Rio Grande Valley and in the community. The office publishes a weekly electronic news bulletin - Weekly Update, and an annual Year in Review; manages the news component of the diocesan website; and serves as the official news and public information liaison between the Diocese of Brownsville and the news media. The department offers assistance to parishes, schools and Catholic entities with communications planning and public relations, as a way of building the kingdom of Jesus Christ in the Rio Grande Valley.
The Valley Catholic
The Valley Catholic is the official newspaper of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brownsville. As such, it shares in the Church's mission to tell the Good News of Jesus Christ in the context of today"s world.
