WHAT IS ECHOES OF FAITH?

Echoes of Faith is a video assisted basic catechist formation program designed for the formation and enrichment of catechists in parishes and Catholic Schools.

Echoes of Faith contains a total of 13 modules:

• I Believe/We Believe
• Liturgy and Sacraments
• Catholic Morality
• Prayer and Spirituality
• Introduction to Scriptures
• Getting Started as a Catechist
• Roles of the Catechist
• The person of the Catechist
• Methods for Grades 1st through 8th
• Introduction to the Learner

A FUN WAY TO LEARN HOW TO TEACH

Echoes of Faith will show you the best way to develop your teaching skills by:

• Getting together to share your experiences
• Reading, writing, and reflecting on content themes.
• Observing, discussing, asking questions
• Addressing catechist’s concerns

CATECHIST FORMATION
BASIC LEVEL ONE

REQUIREMENTS:

• Participation in all 13 Modules of Echoes of Faith
• Equivalency: 30 hours
• Assessments for each module on file in Office of Catechesis

DIPLOMA:

• Awarded upon completion of requirements
• Basic Level One certification in Catechist formation in the Diocese of Brownsville
